If you have hoverfly records in a copy of Recorder 2002, you can submit them automatically by email.
To install the entry for the Hoverfly Recording Scheme:- Download the attached HRS.sch file to your computer.
- Start Recorder 2002 and choose "Tools - Export management - Manage Recording Schemes" from the menu.
- Click the [Open] button in the Recording Scheme Manager window.
- Selec the "HRS.sch" file that you downloaded.
- Click [Open] to load the file.
- You should now see an entry called "Hoverfly Recording Scheme" listed.
- Press [OK] to save this entry and close the Recording Scheme Manager window.
Once this has been installed, it is easy to contribute to the scheme:- Choose "Tools - Export Management - Contribute to Scheme - Hoverfly Recording Scheme" from the menu.
- The first time you use this command, you will see a message telling you that all records that match the filter will be exported and that this might take some time. It will give you the option to only export today's records. Click the [No] button to refuse this option and to go ahead and export the lot!
- On subsequent occasions, the system will remember the date on which you last used the command and will only export records you have added or changed since.
- Recorder will now select the relevant records, export them, zip up the export file and generate an email to the Hoverfly Recording Scheme. At the end of the process, your email program should open showing an email with the file already attached. All you have to do is type in a covering note if you want, and press the [Send] button.
- If you don't have email (or a compatible email program that Recorder "knows" how to use) you will see a message telling you where the export file has been saved. In this case, either copy the file to a disk and post it, or email it yourself.
