I have just taken up photography and am very interested in taking insects and my favorite is the hoverfly...alas I have only just become interested so do not know the diff ones yet.
I have discovered on this site that some of my shots of what I believed to be a Bee are now infact another Hoverfly Very Happy

I have attached my fav so far shot of an hoverfly but ignorent on what type he is.

eyes Very Happy

Hi,
Your photo does not appear to be attached. Make sure that the photo is less than 250kb in size and that it has a lowercase .jpg (not .JPG or .JPEG) extension.

Hello

This is Episyrphus balteatus - the marmalade fly.

Do please give details of location and date etc when posting photos - the records do get extracted and incorporated onto the database.

Regards

Roger
