Is it just me or is anyone else having problems attaching photos to forum messages recently?
I've tried a few different photos all within the correct size range and format. I even tried a photo I'd uploaded previously all without success.

No just you. I experienced same - tried several ways, several days - even very small files. Message said I had used my total allocation. Have mailed Stuart for help - I am sure he will sort it or us out!

|
|
What has happened is that there is a limit on the total amount of disk space that file attachments can use - and that limit has been reached. Photos tend to make up the bulk of the space used!
This web-site (and two others) are run on a shared hosting package that I rent from an Internet Service Provider. This allowed for 500Mb of disc space in total and the limits on the three sites were set up appropriately.
Lickily the ISP increased the space allowance (actually, quite some time ago) to 1Gb - so there is still room for growth. Consequently I have change the configuration to allow more space for file attachments. So, hopefully, the problem will go away for the moment.
Longer term, I will have to implement a policy of clearing out older messages (and their attached files) to stop it growing uncontolably.
