That picture was taken 14th July this year on the edge of Tunbridge Wells. I don't have a grid reference to hand but will try to get one if you need it...

I got a load more pictures of that one, I was lucky as its the only one of that species I've seen.

Attached a few more pictures of the same fly

ETA Thanks for the confirmation!

Razz Vinflata2 is a lovely photo. Do please add this to the gallery. Many thanks.
I'm sure Roger would appreciate a grid ref for this record. It's not seen very often.

Grid reference (From Google Earth) is

51 deg 08' 17.88" North
0 deg 17' 42.83" E

I will load up a couple of those to the gallery when I get home later on!

Thanks Lauriek

Not sure I'll be able to convert lat-long - really need OS grid - location ought to be findable on streetmap but I'll persevere with trying to track down grid reference

Regards

Roger

Hi!

I used this site:-

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/gridconvert.html

to convert the lat/long to

OS X 560668
OS Y 140174

And it gives the correct nearest postcode so I guess it's right! The site is called Blackhurst Park.

The photo was taken on the 14th July 2007
